How boiler repair is charged

Your £89 attendance charge includes diagnosis and up to one hour of labour. Additional labour is £30 per 30 minutes, agreed with you before proceeding. Parts are quoted separately. This is the initial visit price, not the complete repair cost — parts and any return-visit work are quoted separately and agreed before proceeding. Any return visit is included in the agreed repair quote, so there is no second callout charge. No VAT is charged.

Common boiler faults we repair

Boilers fail in predictable ways: loss of pressure, ignition faults, fan and pump failures, diverter valve problems and error codes that lock the boiler out. Our engineers are experienced with the full range of faults across Worcester Bosch, Vaillant, Baxi, Glow-worm and other brands.

  • No heating or no hot water
  • Boiler losing pressure or overpressure
  • Ignition and pilot light faults
  • Error codes and boiler lockouts
  • Diverter valve and heat exchanger problems
  • Fan, pump and PCB replacements

Urgent and out-of-hours repairs

We prioritise no-heating and no-hot-water calls. Same-working-day or out-of-hours attendance may carry a higher charge, confirmed when we call and subject to engineer availability and the time of day. We do not advertise a guaranteed response time or 24/7 cover — if you need urgent help we will tell you honestly what we can offer.

If you smell gas or suspect a leak, do not use this page. Call the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999 immediately, open doors and windows, avoid electrical switches and leave the property if necessary.

Honest advice on repair vs replacement

Not every boiler is worth repairing. If your boiler is old, parts are obsolete, or the cost of a repair is a significant fraction of a new boiler, we will tell you. We never push unnecessary repairs — or unnecessary replacements. We give you the facts and let you decide.

What happens after you enquire

Use the estimate tool below for a guide attendance price based on your postcode and fault, then request a booking. We will contact you to arrange the visit. Adding photos of the boiler and any fault code helps us prepare and confirm the fault before attending.
